Cotton candy was oringinly called candy floss and was used for carnivals, fairs, the circus, amusement parks, and zoos. If you have ever been to any of these places you probably have eaten cotton candy and when you did your parents probably made you share it with a sibling or just eat half of it. Well your parents probably don't know that cotton candy is made from 10% sugar and 90% air! Now when your parents let you have cotton candy, surprise them with your trivia about cotton candy and if they think your just making it up so you can eat all of it, well then tell them to look it up.
Cotton Candy was invented by John C Warton and William Morrison in 1897 but they only sometimes get credit the other times it says Thomas Patton invented it. In a way they both helped cotton candy come to life. Patton invented the machine and Morrison and Warton invented the idea and its a good thing too because if they hadn't there would be no Cotton Candy.
The flavors of cotton candy vary from bubble gum, strawberry, grape, banana, blue raspberry and many, many others.
